Commander-in-Chief and Air Attaché see
objection to plan of flying you to Nanking from
Hong Kong and urge that it is important that
you should go to Shanghai first, where
Ambassador hopes to see you.
Commander-in-
Chief has arranged for a destroyer to stand by
at Hong Kong and Military Attaché considers
that safe passage by road or if necessary by
naval aircraft from Shanghai to Nanking can
be arranged.
